Children’s Swim Lessons

All swimming lessons are taught utilizing the American Red Cross guidelines and teaching techniques. These lessons are available to the children and grandchildren of SRC members. We have lessons for little ones with all swimming abilities.

  • Location: Rec Pool
  • 5 lessons — 30 minutes, once a week for five (5) weeks
  • SRC Members only—$21
  • Class Size: Minimum 3, Maximum 5
  • Registration Process: Fusion – In-Person – Registration MUST be done by the member
Children's Lessons — Saturdays

10:00-10:30a.m. - Level 2 & Level 3
10:30-11:00a.m. - Tiny Tot & Parent & Me
11:00-11:30a.m. - Tiny Tot & Level 1
11:30-12:00p.m. - Tiny Tot & Level 3
12:00-12:30p.m. - Parent & Me & Level 2

*Any non-member wishing to sit on the deck and watch must purchase a spectators pass for $1.

*Parent & Me requires at least one parent per child to be in the water. Non-members wishing to get in the water must purchase a guest pass for $10.

Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Private lessons provide participants with the opportunity to learn at his/her own pace and can be adapted for all abilities. Set a time that works with your schedule and our instructor will help you to meet your swimming goals. Register first and then the SRC aquatics staff will contact you to arrange your private lessons. Private lessons are 30-minute one-on-one sessions scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Members may add a second person for $20 total for non-students and $10 total for students. Private and semi-private lessons may be done for children during weekend dependent hours only.

  • Location: Rec Pool
  • Students: $10 private, $5 semi-private
  • Non-Students: $20 private, $10 semi-private

Adult Lap Swim & Stay Fit Workouts

The Lap Swim and Stay Fit Workout Program is a fun and healthy balance between fitness and instruction. We offer a variety of aquatic workouts to meet individual needs and goals. This program allows you to swim your way into shape on your own time.

  • Location: Rec Pool and Plaza Pool
  • No registration needed

Adult Beginner Swim Lessons

Not offered over summer.

Beginner swim lessons are for adults with little or no comfort in the water. Participants will learn how to hold their breath, float, get an introduction to the basic strokes and learn basic water safety skills.

Monday/Wednesday 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. & 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. or Tuesday/Thursday 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

  • Location: Rec Pool
  • 8 lessons — 30 minutes, twice a week for four (4) weeks
  • Students: $16, Non-students: $32
  • Class Size: Minimum 3, Maximum 5
  • Register at the SRC front desk



Adult Intermediate Swim Lessons

Not offered over summer.

Intermediate swim lessons are for adults that have completed Adult Beginner or have equivalent skills. Participants in this class are comfortable in the water, but need stroke and stamina improvement. Participants will continue stroke development in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke and improve their water fitness.
