Students

A student member is defined as a person who is in enrolled in any units at CSUN.

If you are eligible for the student membership, the membership fee is included in your campus fees.

To obtain the student membership, students must:

• Enroll by electronically accepting the SRC Guidelines and waiver forms.

• Scan their hand into the biometric system which will allow access to the facility.

This can be done at the Membership Desk or at the kiosks located in the front lobby.

Students must know their CSUN User ID, CSUN ID number and password to register.
Please have this information ready when registering.

Once registered, access the facility by visiting the access desk/turnstiles:

Under 18 years of age?

Your parent/guardian will need to sign the SRC waiver and guidelines form on your behalf before you can register and use the facility. Please click here to access the document. The SRC will need to receive the originally signed document (not a scanned or faxed copy). You can either drop the document off at the front desk of the SRC OR you can have your parent/guardian mail it in. Mailed documents should be sent to:

Continuing Students  

A continuing student is defined as any student who was enrolled in the previous semester.

To obtain the continuing student membership, students must:

Tseng College Students  

A Tseng College student is defined as a person who is enrolled in classes through the Tseng College.

Tseng IEP

A Tseng IEP student is defined as a person who is enrolled in the Intensive English Program (IEP) through the Tseng College.

To obtain the Tseng College IEP membership, students must:

Faculty/Staff 

A Faculty/Staff member is defined as a person who is currently employed as an administrator, faculty, or staff member at CSUN or who is a recognized emeriti member.

To obtain the Faculty/Staff membership, customers must:

• Enroll by electronically accepting the SRC Guidelines and waiver forms.
• Scan their hand into the biometric system.
• Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.

This can be done at the Membership Desk located in the front lobby. 

Faculty/Staff must know their CSUN User ID, CSUN ID number and password to register.

Payroll Deduction

Payroll Deduction is now available to full-time CSUN employees who receive 12 paychecks per year.

Interested faculty/staff can enroll in payroll deduction by visiting the front desk of the SRC to fill out the Payroll Deduction Authorization Form. A confidential envelope will then be provided and turned into the Membership Coordinator.

The membership may take up to 10 business days to become active if application is received by that month’s deadline. Late applications are not guaranteed membership validation by the following pay period.

The membership coordinator will determine the price per pay period based on the employee’s membership eligibility type; either Faculty/Staff Rate or SRC Fee Contributor Rate (valid through spring 2014 for those who qualify).

*SRC Fee Contributor rate is available to faculty and staff who were enrolled at CSUN anytime between fall 2007 and fall 2011 and paid campus fees or participated in the fee waiver program. This rate is available through spring 2014, after which the rate will equal the faculty/staff rate.

Sponsored Adult

Available beginning Sunday, August 26.

A Sponsored Adult Member is defined as a spouse or domestic partner of a current SRC member.

To obtain the Sponsored Adult membership, customers must:

• Provide verification of relationship: Evidence of stated legal status (i.e. copy of official marriage license or certification of domestic partnership from your respective Secretary of State Office or the city/country where you reside) is required.
• Enroll by electronically accepting the SRC Guidelines and waiver forms.
• Scan their hand into the biometric system.
• Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.

This can be done at the Membership Desk located in the front lobby. 

Sponsored Adult members will have access to the entire SRC facilities as well as programing with the exception of Intramural sports.

Once registered, access the facility by visiting the access desk/turnstiles:

Alumni

An Alumni member is defined as a person who was previously enrolled at CSUN but who is no longer enrolled in classes.

To obtain the Alumni membership, customers must:

• Provide documentation proving past enrollment at CSUN with an official or unofficial transcript.
• Enroll by signing and accepting the SRC Guidelines and waiver forms.

Alumni Association

An Alumni Association member is defined as a person who has a current CSUN Alumni Association membership.

SRC Fee Contributors 

An SRC Fee Contributor is defined as a former CSUN student who was enrolled in classes between the Fall 2007 and Fall 2011. These students paid the USU fee that funded the construction of the SRC and thus will receive a discounted rate for the first two years that the facility is open (Spring 2012 – Spring 2014) for their contributions.

To obtain the SRC Fee Contributor membership, customers must:

Please Note: The SRC Fee Contributor membership will only be available for the first two years that the SRC is in operation (Spring 2012 – Spring 2014). After this period, those who were enrolled at CSUN between Fall 2007 and Fall 2011 will be able to purchase an Alumni membership.

Guest Passes

Individuals who wish to access the facility for one day.

Those who wish to purchase a guest pass may do so at the SRC Membership Desk by:

• Having a current SRC member as a sponsor present. Each SRC member may sponsor one guest per day.
• Those employed as a faculty/staff member by CSUN or who are Visiting Scholars may purchase a guest pass without the sponsorship of an SRC member.
• Signing and accepting the SRC Guidelines and waiver forms.
• Providing at least one form of contact (email address/phone number).
• Purchasing a pass.
• Redeeming the guest pass at the access desk.

Guest passes allow access to the entire SRC facility as well as non-fee based programs for one day.

Cost: $10/day

Special Event/Intramural Spectator Pass

Spectators are individuals who wish to access the facility solely to observe a special event or intramural activity.

Those who wish to purchase a Special Event/Spectator pass may do so at the Membership Desk by:

• Signing and accepting the SRC Guidelines and waiver forms.
• Providing at least one form of contact (email address/phone number).
• Purchasing the pass.
• Leaving a photo ID with the Membership Services Assistant in exchange for a spectator wristband.
• Redeeming the guest pass at the access desk.

Note: Spectators can retrieve their photo ID at the completion of their visit free of charge if the wristband is still intact. If the wristband is not intact, the spectator will be required to pay the guest pass fee in order to retrieve their photo ID. Parents/guardians of minor spectators will be required to leave their photo ID in order for the minor(s) to obtain a spectator wristband.

Cost: $1/day

Plaza Pool Users

Plaza Pool users are individuals who wish to utilize the Plaza Pool.

Plaza Pool users must purchase a Plaza Pool Pass at the Membership Desk located in the front lobby.

Dependent Hours

Available beginning Sunday, August 26.

Customers who are dependents, 18 years of age or younger, of current SRC members.

• All dependents must present a birth certificate which includes the parent’s name or legal proof of guardianship to verify eligibility to use the SRC and participate in Dependent Hours.
• Dependents of SRC members who wish to participate in Dependent Hours must have the parent or guardian members complete and sign a hard copy of SRC guidelines and waiver for each dependent
• Dependents who are 18 years of age will be required to sign their own printed copy of SRC guidelines and waiver
• Dependents under 16 years of age must be accompanied by the parent or guardian in the same activity area.
• Dependent Members ages 16–18 may utilize fitness equipment and participate in all programming with the exception of Intramural sports.
• SRC Members sponsoring dependents 16-18 for Dependent Hours must remain in the SRC at all times during their use.
• Once eligibility is verified, a free Dependent Hours pass will be obtained and the customer will be granted access to the facility.
• Dependent hours will be held on Saturday and Sunday and other specified days/times throughout the year as identified by the SRC management. All dependent hours are subject to change and/or cancellation. See Dependent Hours
